Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to notify executive branch agencies that:

  1. agencies are no longer required to complete the “Conference Sponsorship Justification” form and submit it to the Department of Management (DOM) for approval, 

  2. each executive branch agency, excluding elected officials and the state Board of Regents (Iowa Code 8B.1(12).), needs to provide a complete list of the conferences that the agency anticipates participating in during the next fiscal year to DOM by October1, and  

  3. any changes, such as additions or deletions from the original submission, should be sent to DOM for notification purposes only, they do not need approval.
